Sōen Station, conveniently located next to Sapporo Station, is a crucial junction where two railway lines intersect.
With a Japan Racing Association (JRA) racetrack nearby, the station attracts many visitors who may find lockers handy to store their belongings.
Here, we have researched and compiled information about the locker facilities at Sōen Station.
Location and Information of Sōen Station Lockers
The JR Sōen Station houses lockers in a passageway that connects the East and West ticket gates.
You can find these lockers lined up horizontally on your way to the restrooms.
The size, price, and number of lockers are as follows:
- 400 yen lockers: 30 units
- 600 yen lockers: 3 units
Please note that these lockers only accept cash, and transportation IC cards like Kitaca cannot be used. The lockers at Sōen Station are available from the first to the last train of the day.
However, additional fees apply once the date changes. You can store items for up to three days, and after the fourth day, the items are moved to a different location where they are stored for 30 days.
If you lose the key, a replacement fee of 2,000 yen is charged, so take care to keep the key safe.
Editor’s Note
There are 33 lockers at Sōen Station, but their price ranges from 400 to 600 yen, which is relatively high. Nearby JR Sōen Station, there’s a large AEON Mall that offers lockers for a daily rate of 100 yen.
If you plan to retrieve your belongings on the same day, the lockers inside AEON Mall adjacent to Sōen Station might be more affordable and convenient.
