An overview of coin lockers at Maruyama Park Station

There is a single coin locker facility inside Maruyama Park Station, conveniently located near exits 1, 2, 3, and 6 (direction of Hokkaido Shrine, Maruyama Zoo, and Maruyama Class). Here’s what you need to know:

  • 15 coin lockers available at 300 yen each
  • 6 coin lockers available at 500 yen each

The lockers are of two types – touch-operated lockers in light purple and key-lock lockers in gray. Although the light purple lockers are newer, they don’t support IC cards used in the transportation system. These might be a bit tricky to use, so please handle with care. The lockers can be used for a maximum continuous period of 72 hours (3 days), after which your belongings will be removed, so please bear this in mind.

An additional locker option – Maruyama Class

In addition to the station’s lockers, there are more coin lockers available nearby at Maruyama Class on the basement floor. Located next to the ATM corner, Maruyama Class is a shopping center directly connected to Maruyama Park Station, commonly frequented by visitors to Hokkaido Shrine and Maruyama Zoo.

You can find these additional lockers on a passage that leads to the ATM and parking area from the 100-yen shop “Seria” on the basement floor:

  • 20 small lockers available at 100 yen each
  • 16 medium lockers available at 100 yen each

These are key-lock lockers. Due to the ample number and low price, these lockers serve as a great budget-friendly option for visitors. However, please note that the lockers can be used only until the end of the day, so be sure to retrieve your items before Maruyama Class closes at 11 PM.

Summary and Recommendations

Though Maruyama Park Station has a limited number of lockers, the ones at Maruyama Class come highly recommended. Large items like suitcases can only be stored in the lockers inside the station, but for smaller items, the lockers at Maruyama Class should suffice. We advise you to check both options to best suit your needs.
