Maruyama Zoo is a popular spot in Sapporo, but carrying heavy items while strolling around the park can be quite exhausting.
In such times, having access to coin lockers can be a lifesaver. We’ve investigated the locker facilities within Maruyama Zoo for your convenience.
Coin Lockers at the Main Entrance of Maruyama Zoo
The coin locker facilities in Maruyama Zoo are located near the main and the west entrances.
The main entrance lockers are conveniently located on your left as you enter the zoo. These lockers are larger and more numerous than those near the west entrance.
The locker sizes and prices are as follows:
- 15 small lockers for 200 yen each
- 15 small lockers with service doors for 300 yen each
- 6 medium lockers for 300 yen each
- 9 large lockers for 400 yen each
All lockers come with keys, and cannot be accessed using IC cards. Please note that if you lose the key, you will be charged 2,000 yen. Also, the lockers can be used until the zoo’s closing time (16:00 or 16:30). After this time, your items will be removed.
The service doors feature allows you to access your items even when the locker is locked.
This is especially convenient if you realize you’ve left something important, like a water bottle, inside your locked bag.
Coin Lockers at the West Entrance of Maruyama Zoo
There is an additional coin locker facility near the zoo’s west entrance. As you enter from this gate, the lockers are immediately to your left.
These lockers are conveniently located close to the Maruyama Park’s first parking lot, making them a great choice for those traveling by car.
The locker sizes and prices are:
- 8 small lockers for 200 yen each
- 8 small lockers with service doors for 300 yen each
- 8 large lockers for 400 yen each
Similar to the main entrance lockers, these too only use keys and not IC cards. The fee for a lost key is 2,000 yen. And, the lockers can be used until the zoo’s closing time (16:00 or 16:30).
Note that there are no medium-sized lockers at the west gate. However, the facility houses 16 lockers, both small and large enough to fit suitcases.
