Exploring the Coin Locker Facilities at The Nishi 28-chome Station

At The Nishi 28-chome Station, you’ll find a coin locker at exit 1. Upon exiting the ticket gate for the Shin-Sapporo direction and heading right towards the restroom, you’ll spot the coin locker. The facilities include 10 coin lockers, each available for 300 yen.

These traditional lockers are key-secured but don’t support the use of transportation system IC cards, which might make them a bit challenging to use. However, the lockers are available for continuous use for up to 72 hours (3 days). After this period, the locker contents are removed, so be sure to retrieve your belongings timely.

Important Note for Travelers from Odori Station

For travelers boarding from Odori Station, please note that there is no coin locker at The Nishi 28-chome Station exit. The platform exit at this station is divided into two, with one side lacking coin locker facilities.

If you disembark at The Nishi 28-chome Station from Odori Station, you’ll have to exit from exit 2, cross the intersection outside, and then go down to exit 1 to access the coin locker. This can be rather inconvenient, so plan accordingly.

Summary and Recommendations

In summary, The Nishi 28-chome Station has a total of 10 lockers at a single location. However, the absence of lockers for those disembarking from Odori Station can pose a challenge. For a smoother experience using coin lockers, we recommend getting off at Maruyama Park Station. You can use the coin locker within the station or at Maruyama Class.
